The Luminati Rendering Engine

Luminati is a cross platform (PS3, XBOX360) high performance rendering engine that has been designed from the ground up to efficiently utilize the multiple cores available on todays console hardware.

The application programming interface has been designed to ease the burden from the game team of having to fully utilize the parallel processing capabilities of hardware. The engine is designed to have minimal impact on the main game thread and provides a firewall between the rendering engine and the game so that full performance can be achieved. The engine incorporates customizable fine grain sorting, realistic lighting models, depth buffer shadows, efficient render state handling and many other unique features.
